Why have your facade insulated?
The advantages of facade insulation
The outer shell of your home forms the contact surface with the outside air. Your walls, together with your roof, are the main path through which heat escapes in winter and enters in summer. That’s why you should choose facade insulation to reduce your energy losses and energy costs. Thermal bridges and moisture problems also become a thing of the past.
Facade insulation not only provides thermal insulation. It also acts as a barrier against disturbing outside noise. Thanks to this acoustic insulation, you’ll be less bothered by, for example, children playing around the corner, a passing train in the garden, or the busy street in front of your door.
Cleys installs your facade insulation on the exterior walls of your house. This means no loss of space inside and no inconvenience in your interior before, during, or after the works. And of course, we ensure a radiant finish of your facade insulation with render, brick slips, or spray cork. This way, your home gets a brand-new look and you significantly increase the market value of your property.

Grants and standards
Facade insulation for higher insulation value
Anyone who installs insulation on the outside of the exterior wall is eligible for the Flemish Government’s “Mijn VerbouwPremie” (My Renovation Grant). To qualify, you must meet certain technical conditions, such as a minimum Rd-value of 3 m² K/W. Cleys installs EPS facade insulation of at least 10 centimeters (Rd-value 3.9). The grant amounts to a minimum of €30/m² and up to 50% of your investment.
The Flemish government further encourages homeowners to make their homes energy-efficient by 2050. For now, there are no obligations, but clear goals, such as achieving an A or A+ score on the EPC. Meeting the 2050 targets is very interesting for the resale value of your property. For this, Cleys insulates with EPS insulation of at least 14 centimeters, with an R-value of 4.5. BEFORE AND AFTER
Amazing results!
Cavity wall insulation or facade insulation?
The disadvantages of cavity wall insulation
Insulating the cavity, the space between your inner and outer wall, is relatively inexpensive. So why choose facade insulation instead of cavity wall insulation? Because facade insulation can be applied in almost every situation. We build an insulating shell around your home. Cavity wall insulation, on the other hand, is particularly difficult with glazed brick facades, exterior walls with vapor-tight paint, or when the cavity is thinner than 5 centimeters. In addition, invisible contamination and cement residues in the cavity cause thermal bridges. Cavity wall insulation is therefore only efficient in very specific cases.
