CLEYS
Premiums and credits
An energy renovation always involves a financial investment. Fortunately, the Flemish Government lends a helping hand with attractive insulation premiums and interest subsidies. You can get up to €5,000 back for facade insulation, which is a huge windfall. We explain the financial options in more detail below.
Borrowing money
Renovation loan with interest subsidy (since 2023)
If you have energy-efficiency work done by Cleys, you can take advantage of a low-interest energy loan offered in partnership with KBC. You’ll receive a 1% discount on the current interest rate of the energy loan.
This loan is available for amounts starting at 1,000 euros and applies only to energy-efficiency projects carried out by Cleys, such as insulating facades and roofs, replacing exterior windows and doors, and installing energy-efficient systems. You do not need to be a KBC customer, nor do you need to open an account or apply for a debit card.
Here at CLEYS, we’ll guide you through the process—either in-house, at our office, or at your home—so you don’t have to visit a bank branch. We can submit the loan application together. The loan is repaid monthly, and you can choose a customized repayment plan within the legal maximum terms and subject to KBC’s approval.
Would you like to know what your options are? Then you can run an energy loan simulation with us. You can also perform the simulation yourself on the KBC website and then forward the results to us. Our representative will then be happy to assist you with the application and the next steps.
This promotion ends on 12/31/2026.

"Mijn VerbouwPremie"
To apply for Mijn VerbouwPremie as an owner-occupier, you must own the property and be officially registered as living there at the time of the grant application. A purchase agreement alone is therefore not sufficient.
Via Mijn VerbouwLoket, you can apply for a grant for certain renovation and energy-saving investments. The grants you may be eligible for depend, among other things, on your income category, personal situation, type of building and the work carried out. Calculate your personal grant here.
Since 1 March 2026, owner-occupiers in income categories 3 and 4 can still apply for grants for, among other things, insulation and windows and doors. Categories 1 and 2 are now only eligible for a grant for a heat pump or heat pump water heater. For external wall insulation, the grant amounts to a maximum of 50% up to €5,000 for category 4 and 35% up to €3,500 for category 3.
There are 4 income groups* within Mijn VerbouwPremie:
Single person (0 dependants)
- Category 4 (< €24,750)
- Category 3 (< €24,750 - ≤ €43,240)
- Category 2 (< €43,240 - ≤ €55,020)
- Category 1 (> €55,020)
Couple (or single person + 1 dependant)
- Category 4 (< €37,110)
- Category 3 (< €37,110 - ≤ €60,520)
- Category 2 (< €60,520 - ≤ €78,610)
- Category 1 (> €78,610)
Post-insulation
What can you receive subsidies for?
- Roof insulation: The Rd value must be at least 4.5 m²K/W.
- Façade insulation: For external insulation, the Rd value must be at least 3.0 m²K/W.
- New windows: The Ug value must not exceed 1.0 W/m²K.
- New solid doors: The U-value must not exceed 2.0 W/m²K.
- Asbestos removal: In combination with new roof or façade insulation, you may be eligible for an increased grant for the removal of asbestos-containing materials.
- Heat pumps: Depending on the type of heat pump and your income category, the grant can amount to up to €8,000. Geothermal, air-to-water, air-to-air and hybrid heat pumps are eligible.
What are the terms and conditions?
- The work must be carried out by an approved contractor such as Cleys BV.
- For most categories, you can only apply for a new grant for the same property and the same category of work once every 5 years. For a heat pump, a 10-year period applies.
- The work and materials used must comply with the technical conditions of Mijn VerbouwPremie.
- For roofs, façades, floors, windows and doors, the property must in principle have been connected to the electricity grid before 1 January 2006 or have been occupied for the first time before that date.
Your income
Personal situation
Not everyone is entitled to the same grant amount. For owner-occupiers, the amount is determined, among other things, by:
- Your combined taxable income, divided into 4 income categories
- Your family situation, for example whether you are single or have dependants
- Your ownership situation
- The type of applicant, such as an owner-occupier, a landlord renting to a housing company, or an association of co-owners (VME)
